Who We Are

Ryan Zhang, Founder and President

I'm Ryan, a 11th grader at Lexington High School, Massachusetts. I am also the Founder and President of CodeForward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making computer science and robotics education accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all students.

My passion for technology started early, assembling LEGO robots in elementary school. That spark evolved into a deep commitment to competitive VEX robotics, where I've served as a programmer and data analyst for teams 10102Z, 10102A, and 8889A. Over the years, I've qualified for the US Open and VEX World Championship every year, reached the finals at both, and won multiple regional and national titles. I'm fluent in several programming languages (Java, C++, and Python) and always eager to expand my knowledge and take on new challenges.

At the heart of it all is my passion for coding and computer science. Whether I'm developing autonomous routines for VEX robots, exploring algorithms and data structures, or experimenting with AI, I thrive on solving problems creatively. CodeForward is my way of giving back, creating opportunities for students to discover their potential, build real-world skills, and become creators of technology. Through workshops, mentorship, and community outreach, we're building a future where every student has the tools to thrive in a tech-driven world.
